Driving:

Andes is located in the Western Catskills, about a 3 hour drive from New York City. There are two routes to Andes and they end up taking the same amount of time:

Please note that you will not have reliable cell service for the final hour of the drive to Andes, so please make sure to use Google Maps and have that set up on your phone early in the drive!

Flying:

There are a number of airports you can fly into, but all will require renting a car for the final leg of the journey to Andes. Airports and driving times from each are below:

By Bus

The public transportation options to Andes are limited, with the only direct option being the Trailways bus which departs from Penn Station in Manhattan and drops off in Andes (but requires a transfer at Kingston, NY). Total travel time ends up being close to 4 hours due to the stops and the transfer in Kingston, NY. More about the Trailways schedule and purchasing tickets can be found on their website at https://trailwaysny.com/.

Andes is a very small town and the majority of our guests will be renting homes in the area through Airbnb and other home rental sites. If you are in need of lodging, we recommend using Airbnb or checking out Dry Town Bovina in Bovina which is about 10 minutes away. We are also happy to advise on where to stay, so do not hesitate to reach out!
